Weather Exposed Skeleton Music An Axe Through All This C30 Edition of 50 PM20
Sepia toned guitar loops, low-fi keys, bells, and field recordings are used over these eight tracks to compose a sort of soundtrack. Songs ranging from cinematic, one minute rhythmic exercises to lonely, slow burning, finger picked drifters. Covers hand painted by Kathryn Moran. |

Gallows The White Lodge C54 Edition of 50 PM19
Along with the recent cdr on No Horse Shit, Gallows has attained a sort of equilibrium. Each track starts like some static electronic composition, industrial synths colliding face first into what could almost be some glitchy IDM. But Gallows infuses them with swells of melody and unholy shimmer. What could come off as noncommittal, actually stands on it's own and shows a deep dedication to craft. Point of reference: somwhere between Growing and Maurizio Bianchi. |

Blown Doors C20 edition of 25 PM18
Blown Doors is a duo consiting of Mike Haley (Wether, No Horse Shit) and Sean Connolly (Pyramids). The two first released a cdr on No Horse Shit under their respective names. Since then they have added guitars and refined their sound. The two tracks on this tape are the result of countless dedicated nights smoking weed, playing scrabble, and renting ALL of the sitcoms from Blockbuster. Phobos, the b-side of this tape, might be the most epic track in the PM catalog to date. This is Delaware, not L.A. |

CJA They Took Him From A Cross & Laid Him In A Tomb C30 edition of 50 PM16
One of the leading figures in the post HCorp scene, Clayton Noone is like the father we never had. He has been continually releasing music over the last few years under various guises: The Futurians, Armpit, Wolfskull, etc. These two tracks are a collage of outtakes from the Ironclad record released on Last Visible Dog and Digitalisa few years back. One gets the feeling of stumbling onto something they shouldn’t have after listening to these sides. Could this be Peasant Magik’s first pop record? |

Teeth Collection Sloth Movement C30 tour edition of 10, C34 edition of 50 PM15
In the words of the man himself, “Dreary and scathing. Sounds from the ghost factory.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. Equal parts Reek of Putrefaction and Soliloquy For Lilith. First edition of 10 for March 2007 tour. About 30 seconds worth of music are cut off in this edition. Music restored for the second edition of 50. |

Pillars of Heaven Silver Tusks Vol. I C60 edition of 50 PM14
The cassette-found-under-the-car-seat version of the latest installment of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Recorded during Winter ’06 on my now deceased laptop and my cellular phone. Second volume coming soon on Epicene_esr. One sided cassette. |

Slow Listener Bad Coffee Day C45 for first edition of 50, C40 for second edition of 50 PM13
The first release from this UK horde sees their sound already fully realized. Armed only with what sound like mangled keyboards, Slow Listener orchestrates over these 40 minutes an audio version of the title. A beautiful sun filled morning slowly overtaken by teeth sweat and sullenness. Covers by James Ulmer. |

Josh Lay Hater of Life C24 edition of 48, second edition of 50 PM12
One half of the sludge duo Cadaver In Drag, Josh Lay steps it up with what might be the harshest, and my personal favorite, Peasant Magik release to date. Underwater cave drones buried beneath blasting percussion and feedback. Overwhelmingly depressive, yet you still walk away with a sense of family. |

Pillars of Heaven / Wether split C30 edition of 50 PM11
A highschool reunion of sorts. The sound of locker room brawls, your first love, and telling kids that the cut on your chin was really from passing out in the hallway. |
